On September 23, 2014, Soo Lee-Cho of MM&C’s Land Development Group and Edward West of MM&C’s Real Estate Group conducted a full-day interactive program for 15 justices of the Beijing City High People’s Court of the People’s Republic of China. In addition to their providing the visiting justices with a general overview of United States land use, development, and real estate law, they led an interactive discussion comparing Chinese and U.S. real property law. The program was sponsored by the International Judicial Academy in Washington, D.C., a well-known non-profit educational institution that provides educational programs for judges, court administrators, ministry of justice officials, and other legal professionals from countries around the world.
