Indian Head Highway (MD 210) Project to Improve Multiple Interchanges (MD 228 to I-95/I-495)

2022.04.25 No additional segments have been funded for design. The segment statuses remain the same. The ongoing construction project at Kerby Hill Road/Livingston Road is expected to be complete in Late Summer 2022. MDOT SHA continues to coordinate with Prince George’s County to identify design funding for the proposed interchanges at Palmer Road/Livingston Road and Old Fort Road North. Environmental planning for the corridor study was completed in 2004, which recommended interchanges at the six intersections listed below with the current project status for each location.

Kerby Hill Road/Livingston Road – In the final stages of construction, open to traffic

Palmer Road/Livingston Road – MDOT SHA is working with Prince George’s County to identify funding to move this location into the design phase

Old Fort Road North – MDOT SHA is working with Prince George’s County to identify funding to move this location into the design phase

Fort Washington Road – On Hold (unfunded)

Swan Creak Road/Livingston Road – On Hold (unfunded)

Old Fort Road South – On Hold (unfunded)
