MM&C Real Estate Attorney, Ed West, Admitted to Practice Law in Virginia

Miller, Miller & Canby is pleased to announce that Edward (“Ed”) West has been admitted to practice law in the Commonwealth of Virginia, enhancing the firm’s real estate practice capabilities in Northern Virginia. Mr. West, who is also admitted to practice in Maryland, Washington, DC and Pennsylvania, joined Miller, Miller & Canby in 2014 as Principal in the Real Estate Practice Group. An accomplished real estate attorney with significant regional and national transactional expertise, Mr. West has practiced for more than 30 years in the areas of commercial leasing, real estate development, finance, and construction. He represents a wide variety of landlords, tenants, developers, businesses, trade associations and other not-for-profit organizations, and individuals in commercial and residential real estate and general business transactions.

Prior to joining Miller, Miller & Canby, Mr. West served as Senior Counsel with Cushman & Wakefield, as Chair of the Real Estate Practice Group at Beveridge & Diamond, and as Of Counsel and Co-Manager of the Real Estate Practice Group at Covington & Burling.

A former Co-Chair of the D.C. Bar’s Real Estate Section and frequent panelist for its CLE programs, Mr. West has been named a Super Lawyer in Washington, D.C. in Real Estate Law, a Best Lawyer in America in Real Estate Law, and a Legal 500 Recommended U.S. Real Estate Lawyer for D.C. Transactions and Finance.
