Posted July 7, 2015 at 6:34 PM

Miller, Miller & Canby’s Donna McBride has been appointed by The Honorable Larry Hogan, Governor of Maryland, to The Trial Courts Judicial Nominating Commission for District 11 (Montgomery County). She will serve her term through January 15, 2019.

Nominees for judges of the District and Circuit Courts are recommended by judicial nominating commissions, organized by jurisdiction. Authorized in 1970, these commissions began operating in 1971. Each commission consists of 13 members, appointed by the Governor, or chosen by local bar association Presidents.

Donna McBride was appointed in June of 2015 and will immediately begin serving her term.

A partner in Miller, Miller & Canby’s Litigation practice, Ms. McBride’s trial experience is diverse and extensive. She focuses her practice on a variety of areas of litigation, including business litigation, personal injury, insurance – both plaintiff and defense, and zoning and land use litigation. In recent years, she has represented and obtained civil judgments for victims in high profile criminal cases. Ms. McBride continues to serve on the Standing Committee on Rules of Practice and Procedure and also serves as a co-chair for the Maryland State Bar Association’s Judicial Appointments Committee.  For more information about the litigation practice at Miller, Miller & Canby, contact Donna McBride.
