MM&C 7th Annual Montgomery College Scholarship Awarded to Richard Montgomery Student Jack Kouncar

Posted June 7, 2022 at 3:22 PM

As part of the commemoration of its 70th Anniversary in 2016, Miller, Miller & Canby established a scholarship to be awarded annually to a student from Richard Montgomery High School who will attend Montgomery College.  The Scholarship recognizes Miller, Miller & Canby’s long history of service to the Montgomery County community, its legal representation to the College, as well as its presence in Rockville where it has maintained its offices for its entire history. By providing this scholarship for students to attend Montgomery College, the firm recognizes the importance of the College’s mission, becoming a partner in this small way to support that mission. Richard Montgomery High School was selected because the school shares a similar place within the growth of the City of Rockville and is located just a few hundred yards from Miller, Miller & Canby’s offices.

The Scholarship is awarded to students whose record of academic performance and community involvement reflect both the ability and commitment to succeed.  On May 23, at the Richard Montgomery High School Student Awards Ceremony, Jack Kouncar was awarded this year’s Miller, Miller & Canby Montgomery College Scholarship. Jack was a student athlete at RMHS, (basketball) demonstrating strong leadership and had an impressive academic record, including a rigorous college preparatory curriculum, many earned honors, advanced level and Advanced Placement (AP) classes. He plans to pursue Computer Engineering as an ultimate degree and career.
