Miller, Miller & Canby is proud to announce that U.S. News – Best Lawyers® has awarded the firm a First Tier ranking in the Washington, DC metropolitan area for Eminent Domain and Condemnation for 2014. Tier 1 is the highest rank given; the rankings are based on a rigorous evaluation process that includes the collection of client and lawyer evaluations, peer review from leading attorneys in their field, and review of additional information provided by law firms as part of the formal submission process.

The award adds to the firm's recent notable accolades.  In early November, Miller, Miller & Canby was selected as one of Martindale-Hubbell’s 2014 U.S. Top Ranked Law Firms™, gaining this recognition for having one of every three attorneys achieve an AV Preeminent® rating. Only 2,442 law firms in the country have attained this ranking. The firm's attorneys also have been recognized this year by Super Lawyers, Martindale-Hubbell, and American Lawyer Media.

Miller, Miller & Canby has more than 60 years of real estate, eminent domain and condemnation experience—protecting clients’ rights throughout the condemnation process. The firm’s eminent domain and condemnation attorneys include Jim Thompson, who was named 2013 Lawyer of the Year in the Eminent Domain category by Best Lawyers, Joe Suntum, the Maryland representative member of the Owners’ Counsel of America—a respected national organization of eminent domain attorneys dedicated to protecting clients’ rights in condemnation.
