Telecommunications / Land Use Approval for Smithsburg Cell Tower in Washington County

Issue:

There was an area of spotty wireless coverage in the area of Smithsburg Middle & High School campuses, and greater and surrounding Smithsburg Town and community.

Goal:

Telecommunications Attorney, Sean Hughes, was engaged by Milestone Towers to obtain a Special Exception application approval via a public hearing before the Town of Smithsburg’s Government’s Board of Zoning Appeals to approve the 199 ft. wireless monopole tower.

Success:

Zoning Approval was obtained for MM&C’s Client, and appeal period passed successfully. Milestone Towers is working on permitting and plan to build the site soon.
