Telecommunications / Land Use Approval for Silver Spring Cell Tower in Montgomery County

Issue:

There was well known (decade plus) of established spotty wireless coverage in this area of Silver Spring and surrounding area within and along Routes 200 (ICC – Inter County Connector), Route 650 New Hampshire Avenue in Montgomery County, Maryland.

Goal:

Telecommunications Attorney, Sean Hughes, was engaged by Network Towers to obtain a Conditional Use application approval via a public hearing before the Montgomery County Government’s Hearing Examiner (administrative judge) to approve the 179 ft. wireless monopole tower at Castle Cliff site.

Success:

Zoning Approval was obtained in spite of opposition at the hearing for MM&C client and appeal period passed successfully. Network Towers is working on permitting and plan to build the site soon.
