Why Choose Us
Since its founding in 1946, Miller, Miller & Canby has operated on the basic premise that every client deserves to be treated as we would expect to be treated if we were the client. Excellence in the law is expected and given. But the attorneys at Miller, Miller & Canby separate themselves from the field by how they deliver their services to achieve the client’s objectives in the most efficient and cost effective manner possible.
Founding partner James R. Miller Sr. was an uncompromising trial lawyer with an incisive and analytical mind. Lee C. Miller specialized in wills, trusts and probate and constantly preached organization and thoroughness in any undertaking. When Bill Canby joined the firm in 1961 he brought with him a keen understanding of real estate, in all its facets, and set standards of professionalism, scholarship and collegiality, which endure to this day. All of the attorneys at Miller, Miller & Canby strive to meet the high standards set by our founding partners every day of their practice.
Miller, Miller & Canby’s attorneys offer legal representation and advice in seven specific, interrelated areas of the law: corporate and tax, eminent domain/condemnation, estates and trusts, land use and zoning, real estate, contract negotiation and writing, common interest community creation and representation, both condominium and home owners association, real property tax assessment appeals, and trial and appellate advocacy.
