In over forty years of practice in Montgomery County and the Metropolitan Area of Washington, D.C., Mr. McKeever’s practice has spanned a wide range of services to clients. Most of those efforts, though, whether in trial work, appellate argument, transactional engagements or document drafting, have centered on real estate and its development and financing. Mr. McKeever is often called upon, both by clients and other lawyers, to assist in or devise innovative problem solutions, including public-private agreements to facilitate land development, condominium, cooperative and homeowner association concepts and applications. His experience and current practice continue to encompass residential and commercial real estate transactions, title examination, loan closings and defense of titles, and trial and appellate work in these areas. During the last decade, a significant part of his practice has been devoted to the mediation of cases, both by court order and direct private engagement. For over thirty years, he has had extensive experience in condominium development, encompassing new construction and condominium conversion, both residential and office or commercial. EXPERIENCE:
Following brief service in the Appellate Section of the Civil Division of the United States Department of Justice, Mr. McKeever, a lifelong-resident of Maryland, was employed by the firm of Shearin & Shadoan in Rockville, Maryland. Over a number of years, this firm evolved into McKeever, Fitzpatrick & Canada, which merged into Miles & Stockbridge on January 1, 1982. In November of 1993, Mr. McKeever joined Miller, Miller & Canby.

PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITIES:
Maryland State Bar Association, Life Fellow of the Maryland Bar Foundation, Bar Association of Montgomery County (President, 1993-1994). Mr. McKeever has served on a variety of committees with these organizations and has, at various times, chaired the Real Estate Section of the Bar Association of Montgomery County, served on that Association’s Executive Committee and as a Governor on the Board of Governors of the Maryland State Bar Association.
