For 30 years, Maury Epner has worked tirelessly to solve his clients’ most pressing legal problems, frequently—but by no means exclusively—in the courtroom. He has tried more than 50 cases to verdict and has handled well over 100 appeals, both in and outside Maryland, in state as well as federal court. Mr. Epner represents all of his clients—individuals, small businesses, and some of America’s largest multi-national corporations—with the same mix of enthusiasm, zeal, and vigor. He is a legal writer of uncommon skill. And he is unfailingly clear, cogent, and candid with his clients.
While Mr. Epner is a former Maryland federal prosecutor, he has maintained an active civil litigation practice since leaving the government more than 12 years ago. His experience is broad and deep, as reflected by the following representative matters:
In addition, Mr. Epner has taught legal writing at the University of Maryland School of Law, has been recognized as one of Maryland’s top 5% of litigation attorneys by Super Lawyers Magazine, and has served on the Boards of Governors of the Maryland State and Federal Bar Associations, as well as on the Executive Committee of the Bar Association of Montgomery County. He has also devoted extensive time and effort in service to the Jewish Federation and Jewish Community Relations Council of Greater Washington and currently serves on his synagogue’s Board of Directors. |
