  Glenn M.  Anderson is the managing shareholder of the firm who concentrates his practice in the areas of business law and taxation.  His areas of practice include business planning, business transactions, purchases and sales of businesses, organization of business entities, contracts and leases, tax planning and preparation, tax audits and administrative appeals, U.S. Tax Court litigation, estate planning, probate, and trust administration.

EXPERIENCE:
Before rejoining the firm in 2005, Mr. Anderson served for 10 years as General Counsel and Chief Financial Officer for The Fibred Group, a family of manufacturing companies. From 1989 through 1995, Mr. Anderson worked in the corporate and tax department of Miller, Miller & Canby. Mr. Anderson held several accounting positions with local businesses prior to joining the firm in 1989.

Towson State University (B.S. magna cum laude, 1985), University of Baltimore (M.B.A. with honors, 1987), University of Baltimore (J.D. magna cum laude, 1991). University of Baltimore Law Review, Moot Court, American Jurisprudence Award for Contracts I & II, Commercial Law I & II and Estates and Trusts, Heusler Honor Society, Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society, Delta Mu Delta Honor Society, Sigma Iota Epsilon Honor Society, and Phi Eta Sigma Honor Society.

PROFESSIONAL LICENSES:
Mr. Anderson is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in Maryland.

MEMBERSHIPS AND AFFILIATIONS:
Mr. Anderson is admitted to practice before all federal and state courts in Maryland, all state courts in Florida and the United States Tax Court. He is a member of the Maryland State Bar Association, The Florida Bar, Montgomery County Bar Association (Chair, Taxation Law Section, 2007-Present); American Association of Attorneys-Certified Public Accountants, Maryland Society of Accountants, National Society of Tax Professionals, and Leadership Montgomery (Class of 2008).  Mr. Anderson is a frequent lecturer and author on a variety of taxation law issues.

REPORTED CASES:
Charles H. Browning v. Commissioner, 109 TC 303 (1997)., holding a taxpayer permitted a charitable tax deductions in connection with the donation of agricultural land preservation easements in Howard County at full fair market value.
