Experience and Education: |
Mrs. Grasso has been an associate with the litigation department of Miller, Miller & Canby since 2007. She practices in the area of civil litigation, and has generally focused her practice in the areas of business disputes, eminent domain/condemnation, landlord/tenant disputes, and breach of contract matters. She practices in both the District and Circuit courts. Before joining the firm, she served as a law clerk to the Honorable Charles B. Day, Federal Magistrate Judge, United States District Court for the District of Maryland. This clerkship gave Mrs. Grasso extensive experience with complex federal civil cases. Mrs. Grasso earned her law degree from Georgetown University Law Center in 2006. There, she was a member of the Domestic Violence Clinic, through which she represented domestic violence survivors in D.C. Superior Court. She was also active in groups such as the Equal Justice Foundation (Board Member and Assistant Chair) and Georgetown Outreach (Section Coordinator), and was a Pro Bono Pledge honoree upon graduation. Ms. Grasso clerked with the international law firm, Russin Vecchi & Heredia Bonetti, in its Santon Domingo, Dominican Republic office. She also interned with Breach for the City and Hogar Hispano, both located in the District of Columbia, and worked with the Virginia immigration law firm Mercado Law Firm, PLC. Mrs. Grasso has also studied and worked in Mexico City, Mexico. Mrs. Grasso is a member of the Phi Beta Kappa, Phi Kappa Phi, Golden Key National, and Omicron Delta Kappa National Leadership honor societies and recipient of the Ricardo Palomares Award for Academic Achievement and Service. |
