Mrs. Grasso joined the litigation department of Miller, Miller & Canby in 2007. Before joining the firm, she served as a law clerk to the Honorable Charles B. Day, Federal Magistrate Judge, United States District Court for the District of Maryland. This clerkship gave Mrs. Grasso experience with complex federal civil cases and continues to assist her today.
Mrs. Grasso earned her law degree from Georgetown University Law Center in 2006. She was a member of the Domestic Violence Clinic, through which she represented domestic violence survivors in D.C. Superior Court. She was active in groups such as the Equal Justice Foundation (Board Member and Assistant Chair) and Georgetown Outreach (Section Coordinator), and was a Pro Bono Pledge honoree upon graduation.
Prior to and during law school, Mrs. Grasso completed legal internships at Ayuda, Inc., Bread for the City, and Hogar Hispano. She was also a summer clerk with the international law firm Russin Vecchi & Heredia Bonetti, in its Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic office. She remains fluent in Spanish.
Mrs. Grasso earned a B.A. with a dual major in Biology and Spanish and an M.A. in Intercultural Communication, both from UMBC. While obtaining those degrees, she studied abroad in Mexico City, Mexico, where she also taught English and interned with the Movimiento Ciudadano por la Democracia. During her studies, she was a committed volunteer to multiple organizations and student associations, and was a Student Judicial Board member. Also while at UMBC, Mrs. Grasso became a member of the Phi Beta Kappa, Phi Kappa Phi, Golden Key National, and Omicron Delta Kappa National Leadership honor societies and received the Ricardo Palomares Award for Academic Achievement and Service.
